The Lok Janshakti Party will contest in the MLA Election 2018 in Meghalaya

Shillong, July 21: The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Mr Jamil Ahamed said that the party will contest in the MLA to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly that is due into 2018 this wa taken in the meeting of the party.

The LJP demand from the central and the state government that the Village Administration Bill (VAB should be implemented without further delay. The culture and tradition of the indigenous people should be protected.

The state party clearly indicates that their ideology is “power to the poor” and their prime concern is bringing development to the villages across the state. The party condemns the State Government for neglecting development for villages across the state as the party witness lack of roads, electricity, water and sanitation and health centers in many villages.

The party also lashed out to the central government for trying to impose ban on cow slaughter. When asked on railway in Meghalaya its president said “the party support railway as it is mode of development but before that the government must introduce strong mechanism in tackling influx”.
