Shillong, December 26: Mr Augustine MDC welcomes the advice of Archbishop Rev Jala for the upcoming MLA Election in the state of Meghalaya, suggestion and advice by the Archbishop Dominic Jala for the change of the state. For the change of the state first people mindset of the region who is casting their valuable vote should change first before we ask for good and dynamic leadership to come out for good governance.
The Archbishop is rightly asserted our state needs the facilitators, legislator and people who are committed to legislate the law and policies in favour of the general people.
As Archbishop Suggestion the people of Meghalaya should vote for the candidates who have really committed to legislate the laws and policies in the state not for the candidates who are purchasing the vote just for winning the election.
If we really wanted to change the state and development we have to avoid such dirty activities like distributing goods and services by the candidates and have to elect who has cleared and firm idea, policies and knowledge about the issues of the region.
Mr Augustine R Marak MDC, 3-Silkigre GHADC Constituency said in a press statement “I personally welcome and appreciated the massage of the Archbishop for the poll-bound state like Meghalaya and more good massages from other denomination also expected in region to preparation of 2018 upcoming State Assembly election”.
In the press statement Mr Marak quated the message of bishop Reven Dominic Jala that “The leaders of all faiths should not forget to share the value of personal vote and value of democracy in their gathering. The voice of religious leaders is the strongest voice than the voice of common people, therefore I believe and hope more massages from different religious leaders would help to changes the system of election from dirty to clean as well as to elect the good and dynamic facilitators and legislators in the upcoming Meghalaya Legislative Assembly”.
