Shillong, July 24: The Committee on account, as per its record has extended financial help for various BPL families, BPL Students, Medical Treatment for Fire Victims, Cancer patients, disabled Mentally retarded patient, Landslide Victims and Natural Calamity, Church Committees, Puja Committees, School and College Committees, Sports, Social, Cultural Clubs, Dorbar Shnongs, NGO’s, Self Employment for widows etc to 159 beneficiaries for a Grand Total Amount of Rs.9, 15,000/- (Rupees Nine Lacs Fifteen Thousand only under Discretionary Grants and Salary Earnings of Mr Sanbor Shullai, MLA cum Chairman of the Committee.
This kind of financial helps and support for the day to day needs, and unforeseen incidents for emergent financial help and support to the people of 19th South Shillong LA Constituency was planned, initiated and recommended by the MLA.
