Shillong, September 18: The Monitoring cum Implementation Committee has organized a Pre-Durga, Lakshmi and Kali Puja Get Together of Harmony 2017. The programmed was attended by various Puja Committees, Church Committees, Members of Dorbar Shnong, NGO’s under 19th South Shillong LA Constituency held at the Community Hall of the Raid Laban Sports, Social & Cultural Organisation, Kench’s Trace, Shillong in presence of large numbers of public comprising of all Communities. Prayer service was also conducted by Shri M. Chakraborty, Pandit (Priest) with Best Wishes for celebrating the Puja in Peace, Harmony & Joy.
The Function was addressed by Mr Naba Bhattacharjee, President and Mr J L Das, Genl. Secretary of Central Puja Committee, Shillong. Thereafter, followed by cutting of Puja Cake (Prasad) by the Local MLA cum President of the Committee, Shri Sanbor Shullai and Shri Naba Bhattacharjee, President, Mr J L Das, Genl Secretary of Central Puja Committee followed by distribution and handing over of Financial Support including Puja Materials to Various Puja Committees including Financial Support of Rs. 1,01, 000/- ony to Central Puja Committee for its Silver Jubilee Celebration to be held on 23rd September, 2017, funded by Mr Sanbor Shullai, MLA amounting to Rs. 5, 81,000/- only. The Vote of Thanks was offered by Shri Pankaj Dey, Secretary of the MCIC Pre-Puja Celebration Committee.
