Shillong, September 13: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Dr DD Lapang today has summoned the Congress MDC of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) to elect the new Parliamentary Party Leader in the JHADC.
Sources closed to the Congress said that the party would like to change the PP leader in the JHADC as the present Chief Executive Member in the JHADC is closed to the Congress MLA Mr Sngniawbhalang Dhar whom the party has doubt on him that he might not contest from the party in the Coming MLA Election in 2018.
The Congress MDC from JHADC will meet the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma tomorrow to take the final call who will be the PP leaders in the JHADC. The MPCC is all out to dislodge the present CEM Mr Thombor shiwat from the JHADC.The total Congress MDC in the JHADC who were elected are 14 and one nominated.
