The NCP will put up candidates in all Constituency in the MLA election in Meghalaya

Shillong, December 30: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Meghalaya State Working President, Mr Vijay Raj, Shri S.P. Thapa, General Secretary, Mr Torang R. Marak, President Nationalist Youth Congress, Meghalaya State alongwith Mr Saleng A. Sangma, MLA Special Invitee met the NCP central leaders at New Delhi on being called on 27.12.2017 and apprised the political situation in Meghalaya.

Mr. Praful Patel, M.P alongwith Mr. Narendra Verma in-charge North-East, NCP apart from other leaders who were present in the meeting discussed various means to strengthen the Party in Meghalaya.

After a threadbare discussion it was resolved that the Party shall put up candidates in all the constituencies in the forthcoming Assembly Election if possible and the Central Leaders have duly authorised Mr S.P Thapa to sign the Form-A & B tickets for NCP Candidates.

As the last convention held in Tura could be attended by Shri Praful Patel, Hon’ble M.P and In-charge North-East NCP, it was decided that another Convention would be held sometime in-between 14th to 18th January 2018 (the final date to be announced later) at Tura.

The NCP, Meghalaya State also submitted the list of candidates to the Central leaders who after going through found it to be satisfactory and have authorised the State Committee to take the final call on selection and finalisation of the Party Candidates.
