Shillong, October 12: The No Confidence motion table by Adelbert Nongrum from KHNAM against the Executive committee led by Pynshngianlang Syiem in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council was rejected by the house since they could not get the requisite numbers to support the motion.
The opposition in the KHADC today divided among them as the Congress party did not support the No Confidence motion table by combined regional party. To allowed the No Confidence Motion it need the support eight MDC in the floor of the house to arise in their seat.
When the Chairman of the KHADC Mr L G Nongsiej asked the leave of the house, the MDC who rises in their seat to support the No Confidence Mation are, Mr Adelbert Nongrum the mover of the motion, Smti Telenia Thangkhiew, Mr Samlin Mallangniang of the HSPDP, Mr Donkupar Sumer, Mr Teinwell Dkhar and Smti Rona Khymdeit so this does not meet the required numbers. The Five MDC from the Congress who is present in the floor of the house did not rise from their seat. The No Confidence Motion was table this morning before the session start in the office of the Chairman.
