Shillong, Feb 16: The attack on the CRPF convoy at Pulwama, J & K, on Thursday, 14 February, 2019, resulting in 40 instant casualties and many others, injured has shocked Indian citizens across the length and breadth of the country – from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Moreh from Manipur to Morvi in Gujerat.
Subsequent findings and probes and analysis as shared by the media, confirms that this was a calculative planned attack, meticulous and sinister to create dissension, disunity and to disturb the mosaic of India’s religious plurality with a plethora of cultures, languages and ethnicity.
The North East Dialogue Forum (NEDF) strongly condemns this worst act of terror on Indian soil in the last few years and stands united with our Government, defence, para-military and police forces and innocent people of Jammu & Kashmir in this critical hour of testing our patience and tolerance. Terrorism of any kind and coming from anywhere can never be tolerated .
We convey our heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the immediate relatives of these forty honourable personnel of the CRPF who gave their lives for the motherland and may the Almighty, comfort and strengthen you in this hour of bereavement and sense of loss of your dear and near ones.
We also convey our gratitude to all those countries and global organisations who share with India’s hour of shock and in so doing, you express your solidarity with the Government and peoples of sovereign India. Said Dr PBM Basaiawmoit of the North East Dialogue Forum in the press statement today.
