Shillong, Nov 05: The Combined Annual Training cum Inter Group Competitions Camp being organised by NCC Group HQ Shillong under the aegis of NCC Directorate North Eastern Region (NER) concluded at Umroi Cantt on 04 Nov 2018.
The camp started on 26 Oct 2018 with the primary aim of selection of North Eastern Region NCC contingent for Republic Day Camp being held at New Delhi in Jan 2019.
A large number of competitions like Drill, Guard of Honour, Cultural and Flag Area were conducted during the 10 day long camp to select the team for RDC at New Delhi. The camp saw the participation of approx 500 NCC cadets from the entire North East Region.
Major Gen Raju Chauhan, Additional Director General, NER Dte, who graced the closing ceremony of the camp on 03 Nov, witnessed the grand Cultural Event by the cadets showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the North Eastern States.
In his address, the ADG congratulated the cadets on the successful completion of the camp and also complemented the Shillong Group and the Training Team on the excellent conduct of the camp. The ADG also gave away the prizes to the cadets who had displayed exemplary performance during various Inter Group Competitions.
