Shillong, April 15: The National President of the National People’s Party (NPP) Mr Conrad K Sangma said that the party expected to win more seats in this election to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) but they have to accept the mandate given by the people.
The NPP ha won in 11 Constituency, now they have to do some post moretern to see in which areas that they went wrong and to improve them for the long so the party accept the people’s mandate and determined to work harder to strrengeth the party in Garo Hills and across the state.
The Chief Minister also thank the voters in Garo Hills who have turned out to vote, specially for thus who have voted for the party NPP, the party accepted the mandate of the people.
The Chief Minister said that this tren use to happen in the District Council Election, like in 2015 when the Congress was in power they got 7 seat and the NPP get 10 seat, but this might be anti incumbency in the Council but we hope in the coming month will improve the overall function of the party.
The Chief Minister said that they have contacted the Independent MDCs and others party MDC and hope that the NPP will form the collation Executive Committee in the GHADC and will meet and discus.
