Shillong, March 24: The National President of NPP Mr. Conrad Sangma who is also Chief Minister of Meghalaya along with the Dy Speaker Timothy D Shira, Govt Chief Whip Marcuise Marak, MLA Jim Sangma and other party leaders on Wednesday campaigned for Denang T Sangma, candidate of Williamnagar GHADC constituency.
At Dobu, NPP leaders lashed at Congress party and urged the people to support NPP. Dy Speaker Timothy D Shira enlightened the public about different intervention govt has taken to fast track development.
He also told people that load shedding and power issues were offshoot of corrupt practice of the Congress regime as they had signed an agreement with NTPC in 2007, which has led the current Govt pay 11 cr per month to NTPC even if power was not obtained from them.
He also told the gathering that NPP Govt has been working to fix the wrongs done by Congress regime in Meghalaya.
