The NPP will decide today whether to contest or not for the CEM election in the GHADC

Tura, July 11: The National People Party (NPP) today evening they will hold their emergent meeting to decide whether to contest or not for the Chief Executive Member election schedule on the 18th July 2017 in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC).

The NPP Leader and former CEM of the GHADC Mr Denang T Sangma, told SP News Agency that today he has received the official information that the Election for the new CEM in the GHADC will be held on   the 18th July 2017.

The NPP will have their emergent meeting to decide whether to contest or not in this CEM election to to the GHADC, at present the NPP has nine MDCs, along with their alliance, GNC 1, BJP 3 all they are 13 in the house of 30 members.

The former CEM said that he has to resign as the CEM because two BJP, MDC joint the Congress and also two GNC, MDC left their party to joint   with the Congress under the leadership of deserted NPP MDC Mr Boston Marak. The former CEM appreciate the three BJP, MDCs and one GNC MDC who stick to their principle to remain alliance with the NPP. The alliance will no longer trust   MDCs who does not hove their principle in politic.
