Tura, November 27: The conglomeration of NGOs,Church leaders,senoir citizens and pastors stand up in objection to his non sensible statement belittling us to be a group of students and social organisations that our protest on the statement made by the BJP leader Mr Nalin Kholi on the issue of Aadhaar and term his statement as illogical.
The Conglomeration of NGos from Garo Hills demand the core meaning of his controversial statement in one of the leading news papers as mention that it was stated by Mr. Nalin Kohli that Aadhaar is the tool for getting rid of ghost beneficiaries and duplicacies PAN numbers for avoiding taxes, then why on earth everything is being merged to one Aadhaar number.
The NGOs asked If UIDAI is everything as the sole authority for every function of all the national and state departments then what’s the meaning of existence and retaining of departments like telecom, transport, land revenue, income tax and many others. The NGOs claims that they know that this bio computer Id Aadhaar was brought in for good reasons just as for availing social welfare schemes, PDS towards the intended beneficiaries, then why on earth.
The general citizens are being forcefully included in the lists of such beneficiaries of stated schemes. If Aadhaar really means to provide the benefits towards the poor and needy, then, why has it been being made forcefully mandatory for survival in the democratic nation of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Aadhaar in real sense is being introduced for the sole purpose of surveillance of the innocent citizens taking everyone to be a criminal, impostor who earns his daily bread by impersonating somebody from the lists of intended beneficiaries. In regard to demonetization, if it is really meant for removing tainted currencies of 500 / 1000 from the possession of every citizen in preview of catching black money holders and thereafter depositing all the monetary possession to the banks.
why were allowed a meager amount of Rs 2000 to be withdrawn from our deposited account from the bank, why not all the deposited hard earned money was not permitted to be brought back home. Is it a sin or a national crime keeping our faithfully earned money in our possession? Then soon after when the bigger amount was allowed to be drawn, an amount more than Rs 50,000/- was not permitted to be taken out without producing this demonic Aadhaar number.
Was it the sole intention of the centre that the demonetization was carried out to forcefully feed Aadhaar without much outcome of the alleged purpose of exposing money launderers or the black money holders as of now not a single was detected for the purpose was carried out. If Aadhaar was meant for getting rid of ghost beneficiaries as alleged by Mr.Nalin Kohli, then why this Aadhaar is stripping all the rights of innocent nationals even to keep the hard earned money and wealth at home by mandatorily pushing for cashless society where a penny rightfully of our own can never be kept even in our pocket? Why it is so merciless towards the unaware citizens to strip off all the inborn rights of owning and conserving cash which we, Garo, Khasi and Jaintia folks usually exibit our customary practices like storing cash in traditional bowls.
We are not against the goodwill services towards the poor and underprivileged but we stand against the intentional idea where all the citizens would eventually turn to nothing but serfs and slaves once it is fully made a cashless society with aadhaar and linking everything to the demonic idea of cashless and illogical so called transparency because once UIDAI deactivates aadhaar a citizen becomes an outcast.
We question Mr Nalin Kohli if aadhaar really intends for the unfailing benefits to the poor and downtrodden, why on earth the centre can not table the matter in the parliament for legal passage and approval and why so hast in abnormal nature in imposing this aadhaar even without honouring the due verdict of the Apex Court. We do kindly urge you never to take up this controversial issue when you are in Garo in particular and the whole Meghalaya in general for drumming up supports for your party for the forthcoming assembly election.
We are not against BJP as a national party nor do we favour any other parties but we united in one to fight back till our last breath against this unacceptable aadhaar as a whole and all its provisions therein under. Let the aadhaar keeps flourishing in UP, MP, Jharkand and all the rest of India but in this small 6th schedule state, we desist and resist this alluring biometric details collection and its eventual manipulation to our people. Hence, this is the logic behind our protests and resistance, said the NGOs from Garo Hills in the press statement issue today.
