Shillong, May 31: The North Eastern Police Academy, a premier police training institute in the Country, organized a mass tree plantation drive in the NEPA Campus today, which was participated by officers and men of the Academy.
Various kinds of saplings numbering 3000 were planted in the Campus. Such a tree plantation drive was initiated on the guidance of Smti D R Doley Barman, IPS, Director NEPA, keeping in view the alarming issue of global warming and to counter the land-slides, deforestation, etc. and to maintain an eco-friendly campus for police trainee officers.
