Shillong, January 18: The Chief Electoral Officer of Meghalaya Mr F R Kharkongor said that the police will ascertain whether the stabbing incident that occurred at Dangngar village has any connection to the election or of any other crimes related incident.
Mr Kharkongor said “ We have take step in regard with this incident since the incident has taken place in the eve of the election announcement , the police are investigating the incident to fine out the cause that led to the stabbing to one person in Danggar of East Khasi Hills District”.
The police are investigating on the incident and they are yet to establish the cause. The CEO said that he has come to know about the incident, but yet he has not yet received official complaints. Though the office have not received complaint but the police are on the job to investigate the incident.
