The president of India has appointed Mr Tathagata Roy as Governor of Meghalaya

New Delhi, August 21: The president of India today has appointed Shri  Tathagata Roy, as Governor of Meghalaya, and the governor of Meghalaya Shri  Ganga Prasad is is transferred and appointed as Governor of Sikkim.

In the official press statement issued from the president’s secretariat today said that,the President is pleased to appoint Shri Lal Ji Tandon as the Governor of Bihar. Shri Satyadev Narayan Arya as the Governor of Haryana. Smt. Baby Rani Maurya as the Governor of Uttarakhand.

Shri Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Bihar is transferred and appointed as Governor of Jammu and  Kashmir. Shri Ganga Prasad, Governor of Meghalaya is transferred and appointed as Governor of Sikkim. Shri Tathagata Roy, Governor of Tripura is transferred and appointed as Governor of Meghalaya. Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana is transferred and appointed as Governor of Tripura.

The above appointments will take effect from the dates the incumbents assume charge of their respective offices.
