Shillong, October 01: The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju met the officers and jawans of Assam rifles, the oldest paramilitary force of India, at the Headquarters, Directorate General, Assam Rifles at Laitkor, Shillong on satuarday evening.
Mr Rijiju who was accompanied by Member of Parliament, Shillong Mr Vincent Pala interacted with the jawans during the cultural programme followed by dinner. Later interacting with the media, Shri Rijiju said that the sole purpose of his meeting the jawans of our armed forces has always been to boost the morale of the force in their service for the cause of the nation.
