Shillong May 08: The SDO of the Civil Sub Division of Pynursla Mr D Hynniewta today imposed section 144 CrPC night curfews of five kilometres in the International Border with Bangladesh from pillar No 1251 to 1272 with effect from today the 8/5/2020 till 31th May 2020 from 8.00Pm to 6.00 Am.
In the order issued today the SDO stated that in view of the prevailing situation concerning COVID-19 in the state the Country and globally where prevention and mitigations measure to identify and take more stringent step that the pandemic is contained.
To comply with the strict protocols of the advisories issued by the government of Meghalaya and Health and Family Welfare departments. The SDO of Pynursla under section 144 CrPC imposed night curfew in all the villages falls within five kilometres of the International Border with Bangladesh.
The SDO also exempted for government official on duties, authorised VDPs and medicals emergencies. In view of the urgency of the matter this order has been passed ex-parte today the 8th May 2020.
