The Railway Protection Force rescued two minor girls from Rangiya Railway Station

Maligaon, Nov 17: The Railway Protection Force of Northeast Frontier Railway rescued two minor girls on 16th November, 2020. On 16th November at about 09.00 hrs in the morning, on duty RPF Constable Sri N. J. Barman, noticed 02 minor girls in a distress condition near the entrance gate of Rangiya Railway Station.

On enquiry it was found that both the girls aged about 11 years and residence of Tamulpur PS left their residents without the knowledge of their parents.

Both the minor girls were later brought to the RPF post at Rangiya and handed over to the Child Line, Kamrup after observing necessary formalities. It may be mentioned here that, from 2017 to 2020 (up to October), 39 cases were detected by RPF with rescue of 105 children and arrest of 56 traffickers.
