Shillong, September 23: The Sree Narayana Guru Cultural Centre (SNGCC), Shillong will observe the 163rd Birth Anniversary of Jagatpurush Sree Narayana Guru on 24th of September, 2017 at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture, Shillong – 1 at 10:30am.
The celebration will be graced by representatives of various Sree Narayana Guru Organizations, academicians, scholars, thinkers, social activists, religious leaders of all hues and will take part in the daylong anniversary event.
Four Sree Narayana Guru Awards, namely, (a) ‘Sree Narayana Guru Award for Social Service’ (b) ‘Sree Narayana Guru Award for Education’ (c) ‘Sree Narayana Guru Award for Entrepreneurship’ and (d) ‘Sree Narayana Guru Lifetime Achievement Award’ will be distributed on the occasion by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour.
The Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya, Mr Banwarilal Purohit, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest, Dr. T. P. Sreenivasan, Former Ambassador of India and Governor for India of the IAEA and Former Governor of Meghalaya, Mr. S. Mooshahary as Guests of Honour on the occasion.
