Shillong, May 01: Family strengthening programme, a community development programme of SOS Children’s Village Shillong is supporting 171 families with 514 children in five villages that is Mynsain, Pynthor, Sohriewblei, Umktieh Mawkhim and Mawbsein Diengsohmaud under Bhoirymbong Block
On the 30th April 2020, FSP distributed 10 kgs rice, 5 kg dal, 3 kgs sugar, 5 litres mustard oil, ½ kg tea leafs, 5 kgs potato, turmeric and hygiene kits 4 mask, 4 soaps, Sanitizer and hand towel were provided to 171 families and with this small contribution during this lockdown period.
The SOS CV shillong has advocated to these families to follow all possible gudielines of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Meghalay by maintaining social distancing at all times.
The SOS Famil would sincerely thank our beloved friend Bah George Lyngdoh, MLA, Umroi Constituency that we are able to reach these families and the continued support he has given whenever we need help.
They thank the District Administration East Khasi Hills for helping our FSP Coworker to issue pass for organizing the rations and hygiene kits in Shillong itself. We also thank the Circle Inspector of Umiam for helping SOS CV Shillong to support us at all times.
