Shillong, March 20: The House of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly today adopt the privilege committee report that table by the Chairman Mr Saleng M Sangma, with this the speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr AT Mondal has fixed the date that the Chief Executive Officer of the Tura Municipal Board be brought before the house on the 23of this month.
The Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly instructed that warrant be issued to the CEO of Tura Municipal Board Mr Zenithsky J Sangma that he should be summoning before the August house on the 23 of this month for his.
The petition against the government official was filed by the MLA from Tura South Mr John Leslee K Sangma to the privilege committee to the chairman of the committee Mr Saleng A Sangma, Mr Paul Lyngdoh, Mr Winnerson D Sangma and Smti Dikkanchi D Shira as members of the Committee.
The privilege committee has held many sitting to deliberate on the issued and after their deliberation submitted the report in the floor of the August House which the house adopted that the CEO of Tura Municipal should be brought before the house to tender his apology.
