The UDP Youth Wing Shillong City met the DC on price rise of essential commodities

Shillong, June 11: The UDP Youth Wing of Shillong City today met the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District Mr PS Dkhar on the price rise of the essential commodities in Shillong city where traders has taken advantage on the prevailing law and orders that happen in the state Capital.

Speaking to media person after the meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Mr Manbha Syiemlieh said that from the District administration ha supervise on the price rise in the Shillong city, the District administration has assured the delegation that if anyone found selling essential commodities beyond the price will be penalize.

From the Youth Wing also will monitor and if they detect they will report to the District administration so that thus scrupulous traders will be taken action by the authority. He also inform that from the office of the Deputy Commissioner is conducting checking of the stock in the whole sale market.

Mr Anthony Nongbri Joint Secretary informs that during the meeting with the Deputy Commissioner they have discussed on lifting the curfew in the Shillong City as normalcy has been restored. On this regard the DC inform them this cannot be done at the DC level but it depend on the input from the police department and the decision has to come from the government.

From the UDP Youth Wing they also asked the Deputy Commissioner not to allowed people who are coming from outside to come and comment which is not factual because this will only bright bad image to the state. The   UDP youth wing urged all concern not to spread false news.
