Shillong, April 22: The MLA from Sohra Constituency Mr Gavin Miguel Mylliem today has written to the Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma requesting the state government to set up Corona Care centre at Sohra CHC and others Civil Sub-Division in the state.
In the D.O Letter the MLA mention that CHC of Sohra required more PPE and N95 mask for the frontline workers to ensure safety and minimise risk while performing their duties.
The MLA mention in the letter possibly home stays at Sohra into quarantine centre for thus who cannot afford to adhere to laid down protocol and guideline of the health department at home.
On the letter the MLA said that the CHC Sohra required additional ambulance as at present it is difficult for the CHC Sohra to cater to the need with just one ambulance.
As the MLA from Sohra thank the Government and the Health Minister who inspected the CHC and understand the need of the health workers who are working hard to contain the spread of the virus.
Mr Gavin said that in the meeting with the health minister during his visit to Sohra they have a discussion along with Mr Balajied K Symrem MLA from Shella and the MDC Mr Titosstarwell Chyne who is also the CEM of the KHADC along with the health official.The above suggestion are made base on the discussion that was held yesterday.
