There is no military alliance as such between Pakistan and China Air Marshal Kumar

Shillong: October 01: The Eastern Air Command Air Marshal C Hari Kumar Air Officer Commanding-in –Chief (AOC-in-C) said that two  French made Rafale fighter planes will be introduce into the Eastern Air command as part of the Indian Air Force capability build up in the eastern  skies.

Talking to media person after inaugurating the three day  Air Fest 2016 at the Upper Shillong Advanced landing Ground, the eastern Air Command said that he did not see any threat from the neighboring countries like China which has expanded its air and ground along  the Sino-Indian border. But he said that the IAF preparedness and enhancement of its own capabilities.

He said “When we look at the performance of any sector, we are looking at building up of capability. The capability to meet challenges and we are not looking up at  any specific country as a competitor or as an enemy”.

He said that the Eastern Air Command  are going to get another Squadron and and two of the Rafale Deal has been sign and the Squadron  will also be form in the EAC”,. Asked further on the reported inclination of China toward Pakistan when tension has been heightening up post the surgical strikes in POK, Air Marshall Hari Kumar said,  “-There is no military  alliance as such. It is just that they said that it will be  a concern if any of them is attack and they will be concern  about it.

The AOC-in-C also spoke about the challenges in the eastern air command which are critical in nature and the IAF all round efforts to overcome it. The main challenges of the Eastern Air Command is the terrain and the other is the weather. he stated at the Infrastructure development that deter the IAF to keep with the world”, he said, even as he added that the IAF will overcome it  inspite of the peculiar character of the area.
