he Garo Hills State Movement Committee (GHSMC) who spearheaded the demand for separate Garoland, today organized the Garo Land state rally in Tura the District Headquarter of West Garo Hills District where thousands of people both men and women are participating in the rally.
The Rally started from Chandmary play Ground and culminated at New Tura playground, the procession started with the prayer from Mr Austin CB Marak is the general secretary of the GHSMC, the speakers in this rally are, Mr Balkarin Ch Marak Co-Chairman of the GHSMC, Mr Nikman Ch Marak Chairman jong ka GHSMC, and others speakers who address the rally.The main speaker at the Rally is the CEM of the GHADC Mr Boston Ch Marak and the vote of thank was propose by Mr Augustine Ch Marak.
During the rally both young and old were carring placard and the demand, from the Prime minister Mr Narendra Modi to accept the demand for separate Garoland, this placard was carried by old lady in the rally.
To recall few months back the GHMC has met many union ministers and submit their memorandum to the prime minister of India Mr Narendra Modi demanding for separate Garoland and this is the second memorandum submitted to the prime minister of India seek for the creationg of separate Garoland. Mr Augustine Ch Marak general secretary of Tura region from the GHSMC said that the rally was a success that was held in Tura Today.
