Shillong, April 01: Mr R R Lyndoh, Secretary of the Wahra village, under Mariang Civil Sub Division, of West Khasi Hills District, said that the people of the village till today they have not seen any government official to visit the village to access the damaged cause by hailstorm on Friday.
The Secretary of Wahra village said that they will go and meet the official of the state government in Mariang tomorrow to know from them what will the government do to assist the villages in the area who were affected by hailstorm. There are many houses that were damaged.
The agricultural plantation were badly affected in the hailstorm that occurred on Friday, from the villages they want that state government official should to their village to access the loses in this natural calamities.
From the village authority they have inquired if there is any injuries to human lives, till today they have not received any report, but only two caws die due to the hailstorm that hit the animals on Friday.
