Shillong, June 04: The Executive Committee let by Mr Titosstarwell Chyne in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council has taken the decision that they will introduce online payment for the Professional Tax this will make easier for the tax payer.
Talking to media after the Executive Committee meeting today Mr Chyne said that the Council will take all step to stop leakage of revenue of the Council, introducing online payment is one step of stooping leakage of revenue.
The KHADC will also find ways and means to improve the two markets own by the KHADC one in Laitlyngkot in East Khasi Hills District and the other is at Byrnihat in Ri Bhoi District so that the Council will generate more revenue from these two markets.
The KHADC will prepare detail project report on the Byrnihat Market to convert this market into a super market. Byrhinat has become a commercial area, there is a great potential to modernise this market won by the KHADC.
