Shillong, October 05: Today Mr Ganga Prasad sworn in as the Governor of Meghalaya at Raj Bhavan Shillong, where the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari administered the oath of office to the new governor of the state.
The New Governor of Meghalaya take oath in Hindi Language, The Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma and his cabinet colleague were also present, Dr RC Laloo, Martin M Danggo, Smti Debora Ch Marak, Dr Ampareen Lyngdoh, Mr RV Lyngdoh, Mr Cominggone Ymbon. From the opposition who were present are Mr Metbah Lyngdoh, Dr Jemino Mawthoh of the UDP and Mr D Jyndiang of the HSPDP.
On this day others who were presence are the Government official of the State Government, the official from the Para military, and also his well-wisher. After the oath take king ceremony the governor inspect the guard of honour at Raj Bhavan present by the Meghalaya Police.
Speaking to media person after the oath taking ceremony the Governor said that he will do all his best to work for the development of the state of Meghalaya.
