The BSF troops are celebrating Diwali festival inside the campus and in IB of Meghalaya

Shillong, Nov 14: Every year as practice in vogue, member of  `Marwadi Sammelan Mahila Sammiti’ Shillong visit BSF Frontier HQ at Umpling on the eve of `Diwali ’ and `Raksha Bandhan’ in recognition to the efforts of Sentinels of Border to show their affection to the jawans of Border Security Force.

This year due to Pandemic, our Marwari sisters could not visit our Campus and Jawans were also missing them during festival of Raksha Bandhan. Today also we are missing them on the occasion of Diwali. BSF Jawan understand their limitation due to Pandemic and convey their best wishes to them.

The  BSF also wants to assure to the residents of Meghalaya that the border are safe in the hands of their BSF brother who are on the duty in the national interest and guarding the Indo-Bangladesh Border round the clock.

Troops are celebrating Diwali festival inside the campus as well as at International Border of Meghalaya as maximum of them could not go to their home owing to the pandemic to celebrate the festival with their family.

On this occasion the BSF jawan away from their families appreciated the kind gesture of the members of `Marwadi Sammelan Mahila Sammiti’ Shillong. BSF is very hopeful that this pandemic can not stop our sisters to visit their brothers anymore and this practice will continue in coming days.
