Shillong, July 25: Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya ,Power @2047 being celebrated in East Khasi Hills As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Bijlee Mahotsav is being celebrated across the Nation from 25th to 30th July 2022.
In East Khasi Hills Meghalaya, Power System Operation Corporation Limited, North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre(NERLDC,POSOCO) with the support of MePDCL is organising the event in two locations namely Pynursla and Laitryngew, Sohra on 26th and 28th July respectively.
The celebration includes showcasing the achievements in India’s power sector through short films made by various Power CPSEs, through Nuked Nataks based on electrification schemes and their benefits and also cultural programme.
District administration, village Headmen and localites are fully involved in the preparation. Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya is an initiative by Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and all Power CPSEs and State DISCOMs under the guidance of REC are coordinating for its celebration across 773 districts of the Country.
On 30th July, Prime Minister Mr. Modi is likely to interact with 5 selected Districts for the Grand Finale through Video Conferencing, which will be joined by 100 districts in total.
