New Delhi, June 25: The Ministry of Tourism under its schemes of Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD provides Financial Assistance to State Governments and Union Territories form Central Agencies for developing tourism infrastructure in the country.
The State Governments and Union Territories Administrations regularly submit utilization certificates for the funds released to them by the Ministry based on which the next installment of funds are released in conformity with the GFRs and the directions issued by the Ministry of Finance from time to time.
Under Swadesh Darshan, Ministry of Tourism have sanction two scheme for Meghalaya and the amount is Rs.184.10 cores and the amount that has already released by the ministry to the state is Rs.79.31 cores.
