Union Home Minister assured the GHSMC will take to the cabinet on the demand for Garoland

Shillong, August 05: The delegation of the Garo Hills State Movement Committee who are campaigning at the national capital to demand for the separate Garoland today met the Union Home Minister Mr Rajnath Singh and handed to him the memorandum.

In the meeting the Union Home Minister Mr Rajnath has assured the delegation that the matter will be taken up in the Union cabinet. The Chairman of the  GHSMC  Mr Nikman Marak who led the delegation said that with this assurance there demand for separate Garoland is  official reach at the door of the Union Government.

The delegation of the GHSMC had already met the Union Minister of state for home Mr Kiren Rijiju and today the Cabinet minister, and the delegation will also meet Dr Jitendra Singh union minister of state of the Prime Minister Office who is also looking the DoNER Ministry.
