Shillong, August 30: Former MDC and NCP legislator Sanbor Shullai had sent a letter of appeal to the state government for restoration of MDC status.
Speaking to reporters, Shullai said, “We have sent a letter of appeal and it up to the government to examine the matter as we resigned from the post of MDC out of compulsion but we respect the decision of the government.”
When asked whether he felt that the Government is misleading the MDCs with the dual post bill, he replied in the positive.
“We have resigned and we have respected the law as for now it is upto the Government to decide,” he added.
