Shillong, May 07: The Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, said that with the internal rumble in the congress as appears in the media, the NPP is optimistic that they will win the by-election from the 53-Ampati Constituency that will be held on the 28th May of this month.
The National president of the NPP also inform that the party will be having the meeting in Shillong on coming Wednesday where all party leaders from the North East will be attending the meeting and on this meeting the party will officially announced the name of the party candidate from Ampati.
The National President said that all the Block, the District and the state level has recommended the names of Mr Clement G Momin as candidate but as the party procedure they will have to decide at the national level to clear the name of the candidate.
On his answer to the quires that BJP who is a collation in the MDA Government they will put up candidate in the by-election, the Chief Minister said that, governance and party politics are two different issued, “we respect each other’s , since governance is different and party politics is different”.
The Chief Minister said the party wining in the Willianmagar election will help the party and the internal rumble with the congress party this will be a plus point for the party to win in this upcoming by-election in 53-Ampati. The Chief Minister admit that election differ from one constituency to the others the party has to work hard to ensure that the party candidate win the elelction.
