Shillong, June 11: A tribute song to all the COVID-19 frontline workers performed by officials of Police Department was released today by the Chief Guest of the programme, Shri. A. L. Hek, Minister, Health & Family Welfare Department, Meghalaya.
The tribute song was released in the presence of Shri. R. Chandranathan, IPS, Director General of Police, Smti. I. Nongrang, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police (L&O), Shri. H. Nongpluh, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police (SB/CID), Smti. Matsiewdor W. Nongbri, IAS, Secretary, DIPR, Shri. B. S. Sohliya, MCS, Director, DIPR and other senior officials of the Police Department.
The Chief Guest in his speech lauded the police officers for their commendable efforts that they been putting in during this pandemic, and he also congratulated the police officials who performed the tribute song. The other speakers of the programme were Shri. R. Chandranathan, IPS, Smti. I. Nongrang, IPS, and Shri. H. Nongpluh, IPS.
