A grand Passing Out-cum-Attestation Parade of 243 Recruits in the Border Security Force

Shillong, May 06: A grand Passing Out-cum-Attestation Parade of 243 Recruits of Batch No. 238 of the Border Security Force was organized at Satish Yadav Parade Ground, STC Churachandpur , Manipur in perfect rhythm and synchronization today.

Mr. Umesh Kumar Nayai,PPMG, PPMDS, Inspector General STC BSF Churachandpur ,reviewed the parade as Chief Guest and Smt Ngangom Soniya Chanu, Arjuna Awardee , Indian Women Weightlifter , was Guest of Honour on the occasion.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra, Commandant, CI welcomed the chief guest, guest of honour, officers , parents of trainees , school kids and other guests for sparing their valuable time to witness the attestation parade during his welcome speech . Shri Kamal Kishore, Asstt Comdt administered oath of service to the nation & loyalty to the 243 recruits.

During the 44 weeks of rigorous training , recruits were trained in PhysicalTraining , Weapon Handling, Firing, Drill, Border Management, Law, Internal Security , Map Reading, Intelligence and Human Rights etc.

The Chief guest congratulated the recruits and their parents on successful completion of training and wished them success in their future endeavours . He called on the recruits to serve the Nation with all sincerity and integrity.

He also appreciated the team of instructors and staff for achieving high standards of training. Addressing the recruits, the chief guest highlighted the rich history of BSF as the largest border guarding force. He emphasized upon that training is a continuous process and it should never stop and being ‘India’s first line of defence’.

Mr. Rajesh saod that they should always be ready to learn new things with open mind, He also said that there will be a difference in training atmosphere and real deployment , but a quality training will never let you down and you can cope up with any challenges .

He expressed his confidence that 243 newly trained recruits will surely perform well in field and bring laurels to the Force.The fascinating parade was commanded by Constable Ravi Rao.

In the passing out parade five trainees were awarded medals in different discipline thus who have received the trophy are,   CT/GD Yogesh Sharma -All Round Best in Indoor and Outdoor Activities, CT/GD Jitendra Giri- Overall 2nd Best in Indoor and Outdoor activities. CT/GD Ravi Rao- Best in Drill,  CT/GD Tanmoy Oas- Best in Firing, CT/GD Bishal Sharma- Best in Endurance.

 

 

 

 

 

After the impressive parade, Band Show and One minute Drill, were shown which were well appreciated and cherished by the newly passed out recruits will now join their respective Battalions in all frontline duties and will continue to serve the country thereby making it a moment of glory not only for the Border Security Force but also the entire nation.
