A total of 124 personnel graduated today, 116 male and 8 female BBTRC of 6th MLP Bn, Umran

Shillong, Oct 20: A Passing Out Parade maintaining social distancing norms was held today for the 2nd Batch Basic Training Recruit Constables of 6th MLP Bn., Umran at Meghalaya Police Academy, Umran.

A total of 124 personnel graduated today, which comprises of 116 male and 8 female personnel; the recruits underwent a rigorous basic training module for a duration of 44 weeks, which included training on maintenance of Law & Order, Counter Insurgency Operations, and various other indoor/outdoor subjects.

Mr. R. Chandranathan, IPS Director General of Police, Meghalaya was the Chief Guest and, in his speech, welcomed the recruits to Meghalaya Police, and he also congratulated the trainees and the faculty for the immaculate drill exhibition.

The Chief Guest also encouraged the trainees to keep on learning and acquiring the skills required for enforcing the law, because police officials are more accountable as they are the enforcers of law.

Recruit Constables who were awarded to day for their exemplary performance during the training period were, BNRC Pentune R. Marak Best Trainee in Physical Training, BNRC Jigash I. Sangma Best Trainee in Drill, WPRC Doloris Pariong Best Trainee in Outdoor Subjects, BNRC Makri Dkhar Best Discipline Trainee, BNRC Davy John Suciang Best Trainee in Musketry and BNRC Sporningstar Kharpuri All Round Best Trainee.
