Affiliated Colleges of NEHU will continued with the existing practice for admission: Dharmendra

Shillong, May 12:  The Union Minister incharge education Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan  today has sent  letter to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mr. Conrad K Sangma that affiliated College to North Eastern Hill University will continued with the existing practice instd of  CUET examination.

In the letter the Union minister cited that this consideration was consider as raised by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mr. Conrad citing reason for the remote area of the region lack of internet connectivity and infrastructure.

The Union minister remind that the Common University Entrance Test was started from this academic year 2022-2023 for admission into central universities in the country, this is don as per  the National Education Policy 2020 for students who want to pursue with the Under Graduate level.

The Ministry of Education Government of India taking the consideration raise by the Chief Minister of  Meghalaya, the Minister of Education has taken the decision that admission to the Under Graduate in the North Eastern Hill University will continued with the same practice.
