Shillong, March 12: The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that all private sector establishments within the District are to constitute the Internal Complaints Committee under Section 4 (1) of “The Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013” .
The report to submit on the same to the office of the Deputy Commissioner positively by 20.03.2025, failing which action may be taken under Section 26 of the Act, wherein penalty is envisaged when an employer fails to constitute the Internal Committee.
