All regular passenger trains originating from and coming towards N.F. Railway  remain cancelled

Maligaon, August 12: In continuation of the measures taken in the wake of COVID-19, it has been further decided that all regular passenger train services on Indian Railways including Premium trains, Mail or Express trains, Passenger trains services, Narrow gauge trains etc will remain cancelled until further advice. Accordingly, all regular passenger carrying trains originating from and coming towards N.F. Railway will also remain cancelled.

Running of Shramik Special trains which started w.e.f. 1st May, Rajdhani Special trains which started w.e.f. 12th May and other passenger special trains which started w.e.f. 1st June for movement of the stranded and other people will however continue. The occupancy of special trains is being monitored on regular basis. Additional special trains may be run based on the requirement.

Moreover, to ensure uninterrupted supplies of the essential commodities both for common people and various industries spreading throughout the country, movement of freight, parcel and POL carrying trains will continue.

It may be mentioned here that in NFR area 2(two) Rajdhani Special trains and 6(six) other passenger special trains are presently under operation connecting cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar and Kolkata to cater to the requirement of people who are in need of urgent travel.
