ANWU has written to the V.C of NEHU that they will resume their agitation from Monday

Shillong, July 16:  The All NEHU Workers Union (ANWU) today has sent the letter to Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla Vice-Chancellor North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong Informing him that they will resume of the Silent Protest cum Indefinite Strike that will begin from 18th July 2022 this coming Monday.

The All NEHU Workers Union has unanimously taken a decision to resume the Silent Protest cum Indefinite Strike with effect from 18/07/2022. In the last few days they have suspended since the University is conducting various examination in order not to disturbed they have suspended their agitation.

In the letter they have mention that this will continued as till date the administration has not placed a concrete progress report with regard to the screening of data submitted by the casual workers nor a notification regarding nondeduction of salary against casual workers who had attended the Silent Protest.

The causal employees of the NEHU they have started this agitation  from 1st June, 2022 till 15th June, 2022 and now they will resumed their agitation, this was stated by Mr. Tenny Shabong General Secretary and Mr. Pyndapborlang.L.Nongpiur President of the ANWU in the press statement.
