Shillong, Sept 29: On the occasion of the second anniversary of surgical strike, a military equipment display was organised on 29 september 2018 at shillong to make the general public aware of the Indian army, its equipment and create awareness about the armed forces in general.
Among the equipment displayed was small arms, nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) equipment, archery equipment, disaster management machinery and stalls displaying the achievements and benefits of National Cadet Corps (NCC) and multiple avenues available to join the India Army .
The event not only showcased the weapons and equipment but also included a scintillating display by the military band. The event was well received by the local populace, especially children and students who turned out in large numbers.
NCC Group at Shillong too carried out lectures on Surgical Strike followed by interactive session with students at Umshyrpi Collage, Shillong.
