Around 15 crores farmers will benefit Rs. 6,000 from the PM-KISAN scheme Annually

Shillong, June 02: The Meghalaya BJP state Unit express their happiness that  the Indian citizens are proud of the r Prime Minister Narendra Modiji and his cabinet. He is a man of work, a man of difference. In the first meeting, they have decided to extend the PM-KISAN scheme – which promises poor farmers an annual payout of Rs. 6,000 in three instalments – to all farmers.

The new move will benefit around 15 crores farmers. The Cabinet has also cleared the pension scheme for traders. Three crores retail traders and shopkeepers will benefit from the scheme.

The Narendra Modi cabinet also approved a new central sector scheme called the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Pension Yojana which is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme for small and marginal farmers across the country.

“The Modi government will contribute to the pension fund in equal amount as contributed by the farmer,” Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar announced after the cabinet meeting.

“The scheme provides income support to small and marginal landholder farmer families with cultivable land holding up to 2 hectare, across the country, by way of Rs. 6,000 per year. The ongoing scheme aims to cover around 12.5 crores SMF families,” he added.

Who had made National security an important plank, he approved a major change in the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme under the National Defence Fund. The rates of scholarship have been increased from Rs.2000 per month to Rs.2500 per month for boys and from Rs.2250 per month to Rs.3000 per month for girls. Our small state like Meghalaya can also be part of the above benefits.
