Shillong, May 21: Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Prestone Tynsong said that Fair Price Shop Fall under essential comodities they should open but they have to follow the SOP as advice by the health Departments.
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that free rice along with the alloted rice for the month of May has already distributed to the Fair Price Shop dealer to distribute to the beneficiaries, the timing for opening of FPS so that people can avail this benefits.
The Deputy Chief Minister also inform that for the month of June the wholesalers has started lifting the rice and some of them has already completed lifting the rice that will be distributed for the month of June both the alloted ang free rice.
The total number of people in Meghalaya who will be benefited from the NSFA are 21,45,145 lakh, the government is aware about the pain that people has to under go during this time.
The Deputy Chief Minister also said that the Economic Census should be ready but due to this pandemic, once the census ready new application for ration cards will starte.
