Shillong, Oct 04: The MDA Government led by Mr Conrad K Sangma appointed former congress veteran leader Dr DD Lapang as Chief Adviser to the Chief Minister equivalent to the rank of the Cabinet Minister with A+ category.
The notification comes issued today. The former congress leader who is also former Chief Minister has resigned from the Congress party who he has associated himself for the last forty years.
Though Dr Lapang was appointed as the Chief Adviser to the Chief Minister, but till date officially he has not indicate to which party he will be affiliated himself. To recall the political party that has approached him is the BJP and UDP where both this parties are in the MDA collation government.
