Shillong, Dec 23: The organization HANM sent letter to the Chief Minister Govt. of Meghalaya suggesting to appoint Smti. Idashisha Nongrang IPS as the new DGP of the state of Meghalaya. Presently, as per information received by our organization she holds the post of additional DGP (L&O/TAP) Meghalaya Shillong.
Smti. Idashisha is also the top most senior official of the 1992 batch. As a female office she has kept integration clean with no records of any violation or abuse of power. She is also a pride to the matrilineal state of Meghalaya and if appointed she will be the first female to hold the top post in the police department of the state.
Moreover the citizen of the state would surely appreciate if the top post is appointed to the daughter of the soil, said Mr. Lamphrang Kharbani president and Wyraiwan Sohtun Assistant General Secretary of HANM in the press statement.
