Shillong, an 24: The organization Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organisation (HITO) sent letter to the Deputy Commissioner of the east Khasi Hills District objecting on the communal colours to Crime on what has happen on Sunday in which a couple is demonstrating against a crime which had taken place recently in the heart of the city with due permission from your kind office.
In the letter sent to the Deputy Commissioner the organisation said that, as concerned citizens of this great state, as members of the HITO, have objections to such a demonstration and protest. Although the sit-in protest was peaceful, but the intention behind such a demonstration to be full of hatred and incitement of hatred and war against a particular community, the majority.
HITO said that as concerned organisation appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to halt such hate-filled demonstration which could lead to severe law and order situation in the state. The organization are aware of the history and they are moving forward, however, if someone keeps on reminding and living in the past, the wounds will not heal.
HITo alleged that the couple give a communal angle to their demonstration which, in itself has ulterior motives and the organisation request the Deputy Commissioner to stop the hate at its bud.
HITO demands that the person involved in incitement of hate be booked under various provisions of the IPC, said Mr. Ban Kharnaior Joint secretary and Mr. Lawyerson War Assistant Secretary in the press statement issued to the media.
