Shillong, oct 18: Langsning FC won the first semifinal match today of the Shillong Premier League defeating league stage table toppers, Shillong Lajong FC by a 3-0 margin at the JN Stadium in Shillong.
Kitboklang Pale scored the opening goal in the 32nd minute and Ebormi Buam doubled the lead in the 39th minute of the game.
Lajong were unable to find good chances at goal while Langsning converted their two best chances into goal.
Lajong did have a couple of chances in the second half but were very unfortunate as they could not find the back of the net.
Kynsai Lhuid then netted Langsning’s third goal in the 76th minute and kept their 3-0 lead intact till the end of the final whistle.
With this win, Langsning has booked a place in the finals of the tournament and Shillong Lajong still have a chance to make it to the finals as they will face off the winners of the second semifinal (Rangdajied United vs Malki) on 24th October.
