Meghalaya Chief Minister disused rise of COVID-19 in the riew meeting in held in Tura

Tura, May 22: Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr Cornad K Sangma on Friday held review meeting at Tura with the government official to discuss on the rise of COVID-19 cases in the Garo Hills Region.

In the meeting the Officials of health department briefed the chief minister on the additional health infrastructure and manpower requirement to deal with covid management in the district.

The Chief Minister informed that officials from Directorate of Health will visit Garo Hills to oversee the health infrastructure requirement and ensure necessary infrastructure is made available at the districts.

 

It is to be noted that 10 day total curfew and lockdown has been imposed in West Garo Hills from Friday till June 1st 5 am.

 

The Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday visited the Holy Cross Hospital in Tura and reviewed the health care infrastructure requirement. He thanked the management and staffs of the hospital for their support and dedication to deal with covid management in West Garo Hills.

 

The Chief Minister has assured to provide support to the hospital to upgrade health care requirement including oxygen facilities at the hospital.  During his visit to the hospital, he also handed over an Oxygen Concentrator to the hospital.
